DAD'S LIGHTNING BUG WISDOM ... TURNED OUT TO BE A GODWINK

“As a child my FATHER and I would catch LIGHTING BUGS and he would tell me they were God’s little FLASH LIGHTS.

He taught me to “seek God and we will find Him”… particularly through Godwinks that show up wherever we are, regardless of the circumstances.

Later on, Dad patiently listened to my wedding plans and was eager to help in any way. When he came down sick and couldn’t be there I was heartbroken. But I prayed he would be there in SPIRIT.

It was an OUTDOOR WEDDING scheduled for 6:00 pm. Everything was set for me to walk down the aisle when the POWER went OUT. No lights. No music.

But, then, God winked!

Within moments, out of nowhere, hundreds of LIGHTING BUGS appeared and we had dim but magical looking LIGHT!

The audience pitched in and HUMMED the wedding march, allowing the service to continue in the dusk.

As I walked down that aisle, Dad was surely there in spirit. As I pretended I was on his arm I could almost hear him whisper playfully, “See, I told you that lightning bugs were God’s little FLASHLIGHTS.”

Sam received SUPERNATURAL LIGHTING for her wedding through God’s grace. And her prayers were answered: her father WAS present … even though he wasn’t.

Wherever stories are told, people love to share Godwink stories. One of our great thrills is to hear of some of those stories.

This week it was from someone who volunteers at a retirement community and just reads encouraging stories of Godwinks and wonder to residents.

If that stimulates an idea, you might wish to browse the Godwink books that are available... and which would be most suitable to your situation.

Wishes for bountiful Godwinks
