AT TIMES of SORROW … GOD WINKS

“My mother-in-law’s favorite bird is a HUMMINGBIRD.

She is such a strong woman, yet SHE WEPT at the dinner table. My father-in-law had just passed away.

As she sat facing a picture window a small HUMMINGBIRD CAME INTO SIGHT and hovered for at least a full minute. There was not a flower in sight.

We all knew it was a COMFORTING SIGN.”

For Christi’s mother-in-law, an unusual visit by her favorite bird … a hummingbird … at a time when she was hurting so deeply, was a sign of comfort from God.

We have noticed that Godwinks seem to be experienced more frequently at times of sorrow. Perhaps God is connecting with us in His own unique way.

We've shared these stories in many of our books. For example, "My Pain and Grief are Unbearable" and "It's Just too Hard to Say Goodbye"... are but two of the comforting stories in our Devotional Book, Godwink Stories.

May you receive the comforting sign of Godwinks today.

This is very true. My parents loved hummingbirds. They had a feeder outside on the back porch and loved to watch them. When my father passed away it was a very difficult time for mom and I . They lived on the desert in Palm Springs. We had a morning celebration of life right on the golf course where they lived. When thoughts were shared from a close friend of our family, a hummingbird hovered above his head as he was speaking. Mom and I looked at each other in awe. When he finished the hummingbird flew past us and mom and I knew it was a Godwink letting us know he was close by.
