RECKLESS was lost when Hurricane Sandy slammed into New Jersey wiping out Chuck and Elicia’s home and jobs.
 
Their three CHILDREN were DEVASTATED with the loss of their pet. For more than a year the family searched and searched for Reckless. But, no success.
 
As a surprise for their daughter's 10th birthday, Chuck and Elicia reluctantly decided it was time to give up the futile search and ADOPT ANOTHER pup.
 
On the way to the SPCA they admitted they were only LETTING GO because they were CLINGING to the HOPE that Reckless had been rescued … and was now living with another family that loved him as much as they did.
 
They were surprised when the shelter volunteer brought out a dog that LOOKED almost like Reckless. Just a little heavier.
 
“Wait”, shouted Elicia! “That IS Reckless!” She pointed to a TELLTALE SCAR on their dog’s head! Reckless confirmed it by barking joyfully and dancing a jig!
 
Later that day, squeals of happiness were shouted when Reckless showed up as the SURPRISE GUEST at the birthday party!
