DOLLY'S WISH CAME TRUE
DOLLY PARTON always wished she knew what happened to her WEDDING DRESS.
Particularly five decades later, when she was GATHERING DRESSES and gowns for display in her DOLLY'S LIFE OF MANY COLORS MUSEUM located within her Nashville Song Teller Hotel.
She told others, including her niece, Rebecca Seaver, that somehow that wedding dress had DISAPPEARED right after her wedding to her dear husband Carl Dean. She was perplexed!
Not long ago, Rebecca was sorting through the achieves and she opened a TRUNK that belonged to Carl. Inside was a paper GROCERY BAG. And inside that… Rebecca couldn’t believe it… she discovered the LONG-LOST wedding dress!
Dolly’s creative director Steve Summers recently told how Dolly, had a RECORDING SESSION right after her wedding. She quickly CHANGED out of her white laced dress and stuck it in that grocery bag.
Somehow, it found its way into Carl’s old trunk that was NEVER OPENED until Rebecca lifted that lid 50 years later. But, today, Dolly’s dress has rightfully taken its place at Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum where fans can appreciate it.
Summers said if DOLLY were here now, she’d have an EXPRESSION for that: “It’s a GODWINK.”

This past August the world felt a heavy sadness when Dolly Parton GRADUATED to HEAVEN.
If she’s TUNING IN to us right now, she’s probably saying, “Yes sir, that’s one of the best Godwinks of my whole life!”
