My WONDERFUL HUSBAND, Phil, died of cancer.  Overlapping that tragedy, my ONLY SON Chris was fighting TERMINAL cancer.

In an effort to continue my life, each morning after Phil's death, I tried to PRAY every day, but when I reached out to God, I SAW nothing but BLACKNESS.  

One morning I was READY to GIVE UP and decided to just spend the day in bed.  


I turned on Fox and Friends. A guest, SQuire Rushnell, was talking about his book, "When God Winks at You".  

As he explained God Winks, I became INTRIGUED and I decided to go buy the book that day!   Finishing the book I had my ANTENNAE OUT for God Winks and it didn’t take long.



Back story:  About a year before, Phil had bought a STEP-SIDED RED FORD RANGER because it was like the one his Daddy drove when he was a boy. He just loved it… and I enjoyed riding with him.

That day I had to run an errand, and what did I see PARKED beside the ROAD but a step-sided RED FORD Ranger. 

I was so EXCITED and filled with joy that God loved me and had sent me this ‘WINK’.



Soon I was able to PRAY WITHOUT the DARKNESS. And, through the years this God Wink has reappeared … just when I needed REASSURANCE. 

One time I was heading out on a three-hour TRIP and feeling UNCERTAIN. When I reached the road at the end of my driveway, the FIRST VEHICLE that passed by was a RED step-sided FORD RANGER truck! 

What reassurance I felt! I followed the truck and within 10 minutes I saw 7 MORE. I pulled over to the side of the road, grabbed a pen and made 8 MARKS on my PALM.  At the end of the trip I had 96 MARKS! 

I still embrace any red Ford truck as a Godwink!

PS. My SON drove the PHIL’S TRUCK the next 2 years until his death at age 39.”
