NOT LOST AFTER ALL

NOT LOST AFTER ALL

SQuire Rushnell

“One day in a BUSY MOMENT at work I thoughtlessly took off my wedding and engagement rings to keep them safe, and absently slipped them into the pocket of the apron I was wearing.

The last thing I do everyday, is to take off my apron and throw it in the hamper.

When I got home my husband asked, ‘Where are your rings?’.

I look down in horror! I COULD NOT REMEMBER!!!!

Those rings could not be replaced they were one-of-a-kind.

I sat down on the edge of my bed and begin to PRAY, asking God to SHOW ME where my rings were.

That night, I had a dream. Over and over I had fabric in my hand, shook it into the air, and each time I heard a little clink on the floor.

When I woke up TWO HOURS EARLY I knew where I had put my rings! God had shown me. But… could I find them?

I showed up for work two hours early, waited for the manager to open the store, and told her I needed to go through the yesterday’s used aprons.

I pulled the hamper and took out the aprons, one by one, lightly flicking them into the air so anything that we’re in the pockets would come out just like God had shown me in my dreams.

One after the other, nothing came out. I looked down… there were two more aprons. I picked up one… nothing. I picked the very last apron, flicked it lightly and ‘ding ling’!

My two rings fell on the floor!!

I got on my knees and thanked God with all my heart. It was amazing. He saved my rings, showed me how to find them, and taught me a Godwink lesson I’ll not forget!

Melanie’s experience has a lesson for each of us. One, to seek God’s help, through PRAYER, to be focused in all circumstances, but to also turn to Him when anything is LOST.
