9/11 GODWINK FOR “LET’S ROLL”

9/11 GODWINK FOR “LET’S ROLL”

SQuire Rushnell

“David and Peggy Beamer, the PARENTS of 9/11 HERO TODD BEAMER, had not seen their 19 year old GRANDDAUGHTER MORGAN in almost two years due to the pandemic.

Morgan was not born until four months after her father … FAMOUS for shouting “LET’S ROLL” … PERISHED in the crash of Flight 93 in Pennsylvania after he and others heroically took down terrorist hijackers believed to be targeting the White House or Capitol building. Their brave act is noted as America’s first counter-attack in the war on terror.

Morgan never met her dad, but she’s NAMED AFTER HIM. Todd Beamer’s middle name was Morgan. It is therefore understandable that her relationship with his PARENTS, David and Peggy, would be warm and special.

On the 20th anniversary of 9/11, David and Peggy were INVITED TO SEATTLE for a visit to A SCHOOL NAMED FOR TODD BEAMER and a speaking engagement at the retirement community where I long served as Chaplain.

David and Peggy told me about an amazing GODWINK that happened along the way.

Their flight had a plane change at Chicago’s O’Hare. At the gate David noticed that a group of GIRLS were wearing outfits with Wheaton College logos. He mentioned that his GRANDDAUGHTER also GOES TO WHEATON … that she was on the soccer team.

The girls excitedly stated that THEY were part of THAT TEAM! When David told them her name they shouted, ‘Morgan’s here, SHE’S TRAVELING WITH US!’ They had two soccer games in Seattle. They were going on the SAME PLANE!

Moments later we can only imagine the joyful SURPRISE REUNION and all the hugs when MORGAN SHOWED UP and unexpectedly saw her grandparents!

That’s a Godwink!”

On the most special anniversary for THE BEAMER FAMILY … Morgan and her grandparents were DIVINELY ALIGNED … to be in the RIGHT PLACE at the RIGHT TIME in one of the world’s busiest airports!

What are the odds of that?

With Godwinks … there are no odds … just God!

More about Godwinks and Divine Alignment here.

Wishes for wondrous Winks.
