A GODWINK SONG FROM MOM?

A GODWINK SONG FROM MOM?

SQuire Rushnell

“My MOM passed away unexpectedly and we were packing up her house.

I was SEARCHING for something SENTIMENTAL to send to her BEST FRIEND in Florida.

Suddenly I heard MUSICAL NOTES coming from the back of a cabinet.

I dug back there and found a MUSICAL FRAME I’d never seen before.

When I wound it up, it played, ‘That's What FRIENDS Are For.’

I shouted, ‘That's the perfect gift! Thanks God. Thanks, mom!’

I laughed and cried.”

There is never sufficient preparation for the loss of a parent. God knows that. Perhaps that’s why Godwinks seem to be more plentiful at times of sorrow.

The song "That's What Friends Are For" was first heard by Ron Stewart as the theme for Night Shift. It was composed by Burt Bacharach and Carole Bayer Sager.

Later, it was made more famous by Dionne Warwick.

May you be blessed with bountiful Godwinks today.
