THE TAPPING GODWINK

THE TAPPING GODWINK

“The loss of my MOM was heartbreaking… she was my best friend… my heroine. Her spirit could be described by the stories told about her as a child… a tap-dancing sensation… saying she was another Shirley Temple.

If it were not devastating enough to lose Mom, at the same time my Dad was in an assisted living facility suffering from a very aggressive form of dementia.

To help ease my pain, my husband and I used to jog together every morning on the streets of Marco Island, Florida.

One morning, something on the side of the road caught my attention. It was the SOLE of a child’s TAP SHOE, lying taps side up.

Keep in mind that it is very RARE to see any sort of DEBRIS on the streets of Marco Island. It’s an almost pristine place.

I smiled. If Mom and God had teamed up to place anything on that road to get my attention… a child’s tap shoe sole would be PERFECT! And… it remained there every day for a WEEK!

Then I got the phone call that DAD had passed away in the middle of the night. I was crushed again… but, also knew it was an act of mercy for my father to graduate to heaven.

We went for our jog that next morning and… the tap shoe sole was GONE.

I will always believe that God wanted me to know that the SOUL of my beloved tap-dancing Mom was right there with me on those morning jogs… but that now… she is DANCING AGAIN with my Dad in heaven.”

At times of sorrow God sometimes doubles down on his communications of comfort to us through Godwinks.

When we view it from a distance, what a creative way for God to reach out to Maureen… with both His and her mom’s fingerprints on that tapping wink from above!

People find many of the Godwink books... and audiobooks... comforting at times of loss. Godwinks help us to see the tangible connection to our unseen God... thereby building our faith.

Wishes for Godwinks of comfort…
