WHEN GOD WINKS ... WITH A COOKIE!

WHEN GOD WINKS ... WITH A COOKIE!

SQuire Rushnell

“My Son went to a recent Angel baseball game and he bought a BUCKET of fresh baked COOKIES.

He PASSED the bucket around …first handing the bucket to a LITTLE GIRL sitting next to him.

Her mother…being extra protective… told her daughter to SAY NO!

My Son decided to just offer the cookies to people around him and invited them to pass the bucket on.

By his example of SHARING, my Son hoped, at the very least, that he’d made an impression on that little girl as she watched cookies being shared.

Fast forward a month and a half later.

My Son was at the Fair.

Suddenly, walking past him, he saw the same people from the Angel game and their LITTLE GIRL was holding a BUCKET of cookies! The same cookies were being sold at the fair!

The little girl and her parents recognized my Son!

With the grace of God the child walked up to him and offered him some cookies!

They had a good laugh… meeting once in a huge baseball stadium… again at a crowded Fair!

My son concluded… that the little girl DID learn something about SHARING.

What a Godwink!

We never know when God will play out a biblical scripture in real life so we can learn a valuable lesson. For instance…

“All things work together for good for those who love God,
who are called according to his purpose.” Rom 8:28

When the kindness of Sandy’s son appeared to be rebuffed, understandably, by a protective mom… it took a Godwink encounter weeks later for God to demonstrate that everything was DELICIOUSLY worked out for GOOD… for those who love Him… and who act in accord with His purpose.

We invite you to keep in mind that one of the best Character and Faith-building GIFTS for a CHILD is the two-DVD set of award winning Kingdom Chums animated musicals produced when I worked at ABC TV Network.

We acquired those classic movies and the only place in America to get them is our gift shop.
