When I was a young child, I had a DOLL I named Baby Sue. I LOVED that doll. A friend of the family gave it to me when I was four years old.
When I was about ten, Mom had a RUMMAGE sale. That doll always had a spot on my bed, yet when I got home from school, it was gone!
I asked Mom where it was, and she felt terrible... realizing that she had inadvertently added it to the rummage sale by accident!
I felt a SHOCK… rushed to the garage… but it was already gone!
Flash FORWARD about 20 years, and I was at a rummage sale.
I opened a box and my HEART FLIPPED!
I squealed with DELIGHT and told the gal there what had happened. It turned out, she was about 10 when she was with her mom at that rummage sale (we compared addresses!)
I LOVE that unique doll! She is in my bedroom right now!
To think that God was so concerned about my DISAPPOINTMENT as a child… to DIVINELY ALIGN everything to return that doll to me as an adult is just phenomenal!”
While we can shudder at the thought that Diane’s favorite doll was lost as a child… we can also understand, in our busy world, how something like that could happen unintentionally.
But… how we love to share the JOY of knowing that our Father in heaven never forgets the disappointment of a little girl… and cares enough to make it right... with a Godwink!
Thank you, Diane, for sharing your sweet story with us.
If you've got some time... wondering what book you're going to dive into with that Christmas cash you're receiving... we invite you to buy or simply window-shop at our book collection page.
