GODWINKS WITH MONEY
“I was living PAYCHECK to PAYCHECK and in all kinds of debt.
A LADY at my work had a FIRE and EVERYTHING she owned was DESTROYED. It reminded me of how blessed I am. In another time I would have LIKED to have GIVEN her $100 or so to help her out.
But, I knew I COULD NOT.
A few days later, an old family friend came to town and asked to meet with me. He does all my family's investments and needed to go over mine. He knew of all the drama going on with me and MY FINANCIAL STRESS.
After going over my portfolio, and about to leave, he pulled out an envelope with some cash and told me to ‘enjoy it’.
I didn't count it until after he left. IT WAS $1100. Not a round number like $1000, but $1100!
The minute I counted it ... I KNEW what the EXTRA $100 WAS FOR!
I never questioned him as to why it was $1100 instead of $1000… honestly… I didn't want to tell him I GAVE AWAY some of the money he meant for me.
But it was so reassuring ... knowing that, somehow, EVERYTHING would WORK OUT.”
