HE SHALL DIRECT YOUR PATHS…WITH GODWINKS

“As an INFANT in a small Kentucky coal mining town in 1946, I developed a bronchial INFECTION.

The doctors gave up on me and told mom there was NOTHING ELSE they could do. She should take me home.

But, there WAS something my Mama could do. She PRAYED for me.

During the DEATH WATCH a neighbor told Mama about an HERBALIST who was 22 miles away and suggested that she should take me there.

That herbalist rubbed a SALVE on my chest that BROKE up the congestion. And I LIVED!

Not long ago I was the Sunday Morning guest SPEAKER at a church in Knoxville, TN and told my childhood STORY.

At the end of my talk, a spry little old LADY came up to me as I was exiting the pulpit.

She grasped both of my hands and said … it was HER FATHER who had saved my life 72 years earlier!”

Ancient wisdom in Proverbs tells us, “In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths”.*

That’s what James’ mother did. When there was no other way to save her baby… she went to God in PRAYER.

Are YOU THINKING that there is NO OTHER WAY to GO?

Ask for God’s help… and know that every ANSWERED prayer is also a Godwink!

Let’s expect an abundance of Godwinks!

One of the BEST GIFTS you can give your husband or wife is the gift of Partnered Prayer... pledging to pray together 5 minutes a day for 40 days. Learn about it at praystay.com.

Then for Christmas, buy him or her a copy of COUPLES WHO PRAY or 40 DAY PRAYER CHALLENGE... both 30% off at checkout for an extended period.

It may be the very best gift you could give your spouse or family member.

This story touched my heart in three ways: 1) My parents were missionaries at Bethany Children’s Home in Wolfe County, Kentucky, during the 40s and 50s. That area was also a coal mining area and the poorest county in Kentucky. I wasn’t born while they lived there, but my parents and siblings have told some amazing stories of God’s working. 2) My dad’s favorite Bible verse and mine is Proverbs 3:5 and 6. 3) One of my sisters who was born in KY is 72 and lives in Knoxville. I am going to ask her if she knows James Bussell.
