“I was reading one of your Godwink Stories and had just finished the first stanza from the poem ‘Pennies from Heaven’:

‘I FOUND A PENNY today just laying on the ground
But it’s not just a penny this little coin I’ve found.
Found pennies come from heaven
that’s what my Grandpa told me;
He said angels toss them down.’

Just then my 9-YEAR-OLD RAN UP from his granddad's basement and said, ‘LOOK what I found!’ 

He handed me a PENNY.

Hi Andrea, your son’s treasure find in grandad’s basement reminded me that when Godwinks published my “It’s Still A Penny” article for Father’s Day 2024, which received thousands of responses, I was so grateful to know a penny’s true value is shared in our hearts & minds. Now that our US Treasury is going to phase out the real penny coin we can place our valued ‘memories’ into their own bank account of Godwinks. Who knows, maybe this will lead us to 5 times the blessings in nickle finds in the basement and on sidewalks. Thanks for sharing your double-bonus story with us.
