On my first day of being a teacher I was so nervous and feeling unsure of myself. That morning I waited for calls and text messages telling me to have a good first day. At school, my first student (Nadia) arrived with her grandma (Ida). They both greeted me with a smile. I allowed Nadia to pick any seat she wanted while chatting with her grandma. It was the sweetest exchange and very encouraging. She told me to have a great day, do my best and have fun with my new students it will be alright. She started for the door but something made me ask her name again. She said my name is Ida. I immediately began crying tears of joy. When I was 7 yrs old I was placed in foster care. At 10 yrs old, I was adopted. I had a very difficult accepting that I couldn’t be with my mother biological mom Ida. It was on that day I realized my mom who passed away when I was 17yrs old was closer to me than I ever believed. She was there on one of my best and scariest days. I know it was a God wink. I’ve held that moment in my mind so as to remember God and my mom are always with me.

I have kept a Godwink journal for 15 yrs now. In 2021 I had 116 and have had as many as180. I cant tell you the number of people I have turned on to saying it was a Godwink! It’s a tool that always keeps me close to God on a regular basis and I am profoundly grateful! Have all the books! That’s a Godwink comes out of my mouth often to me and others!!🙏🙏🙏🙏❤
