“Our family had been notified that it was time to say our last goodbyes to my father-in-law.
My daughter went to the hospital with her grandmother and stood at her grandfather’s bedside as he lay in a coma.
Amid tears, she leaned down to whisper in his ear. She asked him to send a SIGN when he arrived safely in Heaven… to send a BLUE BUTTERFLY.
Only her grandmother was witness to that conversation… she told no one else.
Days later I received a sympathy card and a GIFT from a friend. As I lifted a crystal sculpture from the box my daughter drew in a breath of surprise. It was a beautiful BLUE BUTTERFLY!
She then told me of her final request to her Pawpaw.
We believe in Godwinks… and see them everywhere!”
Can we imagine those odds? The final request of a young woman to her grandfather ... to send a BLUE BUTTERFLY ... and it arrives as a sympathy gift? Wow!
Godwinks at times of sorrow are almost always a message of comfort directly to you. Look for them… like a person-to-person call from above.
As the Ancient Scriptures promise:
"Do not let your hearts be troubled…*
The Lord is close to the brokenhearted
and rescues those whose spirits are crushed".**
There are three Godwink books that people frequently select at times of sorrow, along with a free greeting card expressing loss.
When God Winks; Godwink Stories: A Devotional; and Godwinks & Divine Alignment ... the final chapter of the last book is about people who have witnessed heaven and returned to tell about it.
Many good wishes for comforting Godwinks.
