“Christmas Eve 2022 was pretty heavy for all of us. We LOST our dear 20-year old DAUGHTER Rachel in July.

Under the tree, Dawn placed Rachel’s cherished Doc Martin BOOTS, our Christmas gift to her last year.

Next to it, stood a small, framed SIGN that read ‘Sleep in Heavenly Peace’ and on the tree hung an ORNAMENT that read:

                               Forever in Our Hearts - Rachel Joy

We were feeling the emptiness more intensely, for understandable reasons.

As I looked at it, I thought it might make a good picture.

Then I witnessed Milo …  RACHEL'S CAT … emerge from under the tree like never before, almost ‘posing,’ to become part of the MEMORY COLLECTION for our daughter!

A Godwink? I don't know.

What I DO know … is that it FILLED some of the HOLLOW in our HEARTS that night.”

No one can ever imagine the depth of pain and sadness that a parent feels on the first Christmas without their beloved child.
