One of my favorite stories in our newest book, GODWINK CHRISTMAS STORIES, due in October, is that of Jonna Fitzgerald.

As a seven-year old, Jonna could consume hours parading across her front porch pretending to be Miss Texas. And, the day her mother took her to a concert by the reigning Miss Texas, the fiddle-playing Judy Mallett, was truly a day emblazoned into memory.

On the anniversary of his birth, Valentine’s Day, Congressional Medal of Honor recipient Col Leo Thorsness was given a hero’s burial at Arlington National Cemetery.

Perhaps you remember the sweet story we told about him on NBC through the eyes of a former 16 year old cheerleader Jane Ellis in Mount Pleasant, Tx.

Jane’s heart wept when she heard about the Prisoners of War but jumped at the opportunity to buy a $2.50 bracelet with the name of one of those POW’s on it.

“My POW was Col. Leo Thorsness. And, from that day forward, Leo was like a member of my family. I wore his bracelet, and prayed for him daily.”                           (More: click photo)

Sometimes God uses each of us as GODWINK LINKS—unwitting messengers of a Godwink to someone else ... to comfort them, and to let them know that they are not alone.

Actress Roma Downey, was divinely aligned her to be at exactly the right place, at the right time, to bring light to a young woman in desperate circumstances.

Just weeks before America needed hope and encouragement from what was about to happen on 9/11, my first When God Winks book was published, introducing a new word to the English language.
